Had it only been slightly brighter, it would have helped. Otherwise the design is quite believable and appealing. Good job, holmes.

I would not, I probably use those thick shields and ram the dread into oblivion at the highest speed I can reach.

Does kill me an my crew, but I am certain they put a plague up for us somewhere to comment our heroic action.

I must say this one is just more up my ally big guns, screw missiles and stare the enemy down. Feels so much simpler than fancy missiles and the stuff, just get in aim and shoot, whit a nice grin on your face.

No one you would manage to make it through to hit a Celestial. A celestial's mass drivers alone would rip a battlecruiser to shreds. In fact, it could gut an entire squadron of battlecruisers with ease. You would end up being dust in the face of my flagship. :D

And though the big guns may be simpler, the Alliance's missiles are advanced and capable, they can engage well outside the typical range of Imperial warships and while Imperial warships might bite hard when they get within gun-range, a modern alliance Vanguard-Class battlecruiser could probably soften a Empyrean Sovereign enough so that when they get gun-to-gun, the Vanguard could still do its job

So these guys are the 'nips' of your universe eh?
Too bad the engagement speeds you mentioned are so crazy, guess that means no Kamikaze-Space Fighters doesn't it?

A thing of beauty. Bridge design reminds me of Starship Troopers, though this monster'd eat whole fleets of Roger Young [link] - class ships for brekfast.

Wait. They're evil? But I thought "The noble empire has maintained a strong friendship with the Alliance..." [link] ^^;
