Sorry for my long time absence. Its been a busy last two months with my job. However, hope you enjoy this new creation - the Kingblade-Class corvette. A lightweight, high speed, well armed scout used by the Kingdom, these ships are often found attached to mother ships or stations, serving as FTL capable reconnoiters or screens for lighter ships they are supporting. In addition, their sleek profile owns to high applicability as a stealth/infiltration ship and they are popular hulls for use by Knights. Stripped down variants have even seen use in the private sector, sometimes having fallen into the hands of smugglers who prize the ship for its fast speed and decent cargo room with the military grade weapons removed.
Very nice. Love the design. Nice to see something "different" in space ship design for once. One question: what purpose do the forward facing "pods" on either side serve?
Really nice design, remembers me of a contorted B2. That lightbulb type of canopy also looks much like those research subs they use for deep see exploration. I assume they have movable armor plates to cover it while in combat. It would otherwise end pretty nasty.
Its actually pretty heavily shielded. The Kingdom doesn't like to cover their windows like the Alliance during combat. Sort of an honor/look the enemy in the eye.
Ouch! That pretty much begs for the universe to bitchslap you. Its one thing to look your enemy in the eye and something complettly different to expose your vulnerable parts, shields only last that long.
At least they still have the chance to "look away" and I guess Corvettes are really agile.
Actually. In CoM universe shields do way more than armor. In fact armor is all but useless once shields go. The purpose of 'armor' as it is is to act as a reinforcing agent because lets be honest, no amount of 'armor' is going to stand up to projectiles moving at fractions of the speed of light. As such, shields are pretty dang important and about as reliable as they come in terms of protection.
intresting!
I donīt know what to say
it is Beautyfull
He LIVES!!!
